Key policies

Digital submission is preferred where suitable. It is faster, clearer and reduces handling risk.

Laboratory turnaround begins once complete records are received, reviewed and accepted.

Incomplete submissions may be placed on hold until the required records, instructions or components are provided.

Phone calls can support a case, but they are not a formal submission. Case instructions must be provided in writing, via scanner or through an online form.

Pickup, delivery and courier transit times are not included in laboratory turnaround.

Priority requests are by approval only and depend on case type, records, capacity and material availability. Same-day or two-day service is not guaranteed.
